Logo Usage Guidelines

AGA Signature Usage Guidelines and Agreement

Member and associate member companies may use the AGA signature on letterhead, business cards and other appropriate materials, such as exhibit booths and annual reports.

Use by any company not a member in good standing in the association, or by any member or associate member company that fails to conform to the restrictions and guidelines set forth below, is prohibited.

Use of the signature on products or product packaging, in advertising, catalog listing or in materials that directly promote a product or service is prohibited.

The signature may by used only where it is clear that the member company, not AGA, employs the individual and is responsible for the content on the letterhead, business card or other materials:

  • The AGA signature must always be used in its complete form, which includes: the identifying symbol and the printed name "American Gas Association®."
  • A designation must accompany the AGA signature (e.g. "member" or "associate member").
  • The member company name/logo must be significantly larger than the AGA signature.
  • There should be clear space of at least ¼ of the total area of the page or screen between the AGA signature and the member company name/logo.
  • The preferred placement of the AGA signature is the lower left or right corner.

Unless specifically authorized in writing to do so, no member company may use the AGA signature in a manner that suggests that the member company or its employees are acting on AGA's behalf or with AGA's endorsement.

  • to all of the restrictions and guidelines set out above, including guidelines linked to the above text, and to any others AGA may set in the future.
  • that your company will indemnify AGA and cover any costs it may incur if anyone sues AGA or makes any other claims against it because of your company's use of the AGA signature.
  • that your company may use the AGA signature only with AGA's permission, and that AGA may withdraw that permission at any time by giving reasonable notice to your company.
