Benefits Of Committee Membership
By committee membership, industry engineers broaden their own competence by meeting contemporaries and sharing state-of-the-art-engineering information. Benefits also include work on industry technical references and forums, to help provide cost savings and other benefit to the entire gas industry.
Products and Services
This committee prepared the draft of the Gas Service Regulator Standard for 14 inches water column and less, which has now been issued as an ANSI Standard B109.4. Working for preparation of a report on Sonic Nozzle Proving. A technical note on single path ultrasonic end user meter is under preparation. Prepare round table discussion papers on topics of interest to the members. Follow trends in automatic meter reading. Working on updating AGA Gas Measurement Manuals related to distribution measurements.
Interaction with other AGA Committees/Outside Organizations
This committee works closely with the Transmission Measurement Committee of AGA and provides input to the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) on gas measurement issues. Also coordinates with the Automatic Meter Reading Association (AMRA).
Meetings
Meets twice a year.
