FERC Regulatory Committee
The FERC Regulatory Committee reports to the AGA Government Relations Policy Committee (GRPC). It implements the policy priorities of the GRPC with regard to matters pending before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including the formulation of responses to regulatory initiatives.

Meeting Minutes and Agendas
Objective
To successfully advocate policies at FERC that will maintain high quality pipeline service to LDCs, that will protect and enhance the value of transmission capacity held by LDCs, to promote the development of infrastructure, particularly for delivering new natural gas supplies to market, and to increase understanding by FERC Commissioners and staff of the commercial and operational context for LDCs.
Typical Committee Member
The committee members are generally Assistant General Counsels and Vice Presidents, Directors, and Managers of Gas Supply, Planning and Regulatory Affairs
Benefits of Committee Membership
The committee provides both policy and technical guidance regarding AGA's position on regulatory rulemakings, policy statements and hearings conducted by FERC and on appellate review of those matters. The committee seeks to advocate to FERC consensus positions representing local distribution company interests before the FERC.
Products and Services
The FERC Regulatory Committee develops AGA's comments and testimony before FERC and provides policy and technical advice to the Government Relations Policy Committee in its development of federal regulatory policy. It also provides current information on the activities of FERC and analysis of FERC policy initiatives and proposals.
Interaction with other AGA Committees/Outside Organizations
The FERC Regulatory Committee is an advisory committee to the Policy Committee that develops AGA's advocacy role before FERC. The FERC Regulatory Committee interacts with several AGA committees, including the Government Relations Policy Committee, Legislative Committee, Gas Transportation and Supply Operations Task Force, Accounting Principles Committee, Legal Committee and Rate Committee. The FERC Regulatory Committee makes biannual reports of major developments to the Legal Committee.
Meetings
The FERC Regulatory Committee meets approximately eight times during the year in order to respond to major rulemakings and hearings before FERC on issues affecting AGA members. All meetings are accessible by teleconference.
Leadership
The committee has an elected Chairman and Vice-Chairman. The Vice-Chairman succeeds to the Chairman position in January. A new Vice-Chairman is voted in by the Committee in September.
