Santa Fe is located in Northern New Mexico, an hour's drive north of Albuquerque, the state's largest city and major air gateway. The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) as the airport is officially known is serviced by all of the major U.S. airlines. Flying into Albuquerque and renting a car is by far the most popular way of traveling around New Mexico.
The Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF) is services by American Airlines, which offers two nonstop daily flights between Dallas and Santa Fe and one nonstop daily flight between Los Angeles and Santa Fe. It is also open to private aircraft (Santa Fe Jet Center).
Convenient shuttle services are available daily between the Inn at Loretto and Albuquerque International Airport (approximately 70 minute trip) with 30 trips daily (on the hour) from Sandia Shuttle Express (1-888-775-5696 or 505-474-5696). At Albuquerque International Airport, the car rental customer service counters and ready/return lots are located at the Sunport Car Rental Center, 3400 University SE. Car rental shuttles provide transportation between the terminal building and the Car Rental Center. Shuttles run every 5 minutes from the commercial lane located outside the 1st level of the airport terminal building. At the Santa Fe Municipal Airport rental cars services are located in the main terminal building.
The Inn and Spa at Loretto offers valet parking for the convenience of guests. The nightly fee is $18. Self parking in Santa Fe is limited but is available to guests who prefer to park off property.

From Albuquerque Intl. Sunport Airport
Exit Albuquerque International Sunport and follow the signs for I-25 North to Santa Fe. Continue on I-25 North for approximately 63 miles. Take Exit 282 - St. Francis Drive - and turn left on St. Francis Drive. Continue on St. Francis Drive approximately 4 miles and turn right on West Alameda Street.
Remain on West Alameda Street until you reach Old Santa Fe Trail (third light). Turn left on Old Santa Fe Trail, where you will see the entrance to Inn and Spa at Loretto on your right.
From Santa Fe Municipal Airport
Start out going North on Aviation Drive toward Paseo Real/CR-56 E. Turn right onto CR-56 E/Airport Road. Take the first left onto NM-599 N/Veterans’ Memorial Highway (10 miles). Merge onto N St. Francis Drive/US-285 S/US-84 S toward Santa Fe. Turn slight left onto N Guadalupe Street. Turn left onto West Alameda Street. Turn left onto Old Santa Fe Trail. The Inn at Loretto is on the right.
