This audio conference will be an innovative program explaining natural gas utility ratemaking and state regulatory structures as they apply to the use of natural gas in the transportation market. The program is targeted toward an audience that is not familiar with natural gas ratemaking and regulation. This American Gas Association sponsored audio conference will be held on May 23, 2011 from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm EST.
The program will provide a brief overview of the legal and regulatory frameworks of natural gas utility industry, a list of expenses that are included in rates, a description of the costing techniques that determine how much is included in rates, and an explanation of why differences in rate design can make cost recovery more or less likely. The focus of the program is on the natural gas vehicle market and the compressed natural gas market; special rates for NGVs and CNG will be compared and contrasted with rates for traditional natural gas services.
ALL employees of AGA member companies, including Canadian and international members, pipeline members, and associate members, as well as members of the Clean American Transportation Alliance are welcome to participate. There is no charge.
Call details will be sent out to registrants on Friday, May 20, 2011. For question on program information, please contact Cynthia Marple, firstname.lastname@example.org . For registration and logistics, please contact Sarah Crawford, email@example.com.
