The American Gas Association (AGA) recently released “The Promise of Natural Gas,” which which outlines the transformational shift in the perceived role of natural gas—from an energy source sometimes seen as unreliable and scarce 10 years ago, to one that is now recognized as an essential component of a clean and secure energy portfolio.

On Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. EDT, AGA will host a webinar to outline its vision for a decade or more of relative natural gas market stability and what it means for energy efficiency programs within today’s market. Efficiency programs are beneficial for consumers, for energy supplies, and for maintaining a balanced all-of-the-above approach to energy, and AGA believes that natural gas efficiency programs can and should remain a priority in an environment with low natural gas prices.

During this webinar, AGA Energy Analyst Richard Meyer will share AGA’s outlook on natural gas market fundamentals. Questions addressed will include: How can efficiency programs – which should remain a priority – thrive in a relatively low cost natural gas market? How do we enable and capture all of the benefits to consumers, utilities and society? And most importantly, how do we take advantage of low prices to accelerate the adoption of efficient natural gas appliances to consumers?

Following the presentation, we will engage participants in a discussion around the challenges and opportunities this market environment presents. Please feel free to share this with others that might be interested in participating in this conversation.
