AGA Announces Bid for 2015-2018 IGU Presidency and 2018 World Gas Conference
AGA is proud to announce that it has submitted its bid to serve as the president of the International Gas Union, 2015-2018, and to host the World Gas Conference in Washington, DC in 2018.
With the dramatic growth in the global gas market, AGA is pleased to have the opportunity to compete for this position and this event. AGA has nominated David Carroll, president of the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) to serve as IGU vice president, 2012-2015 and IGU president 2015-2018. In addition, AGA has nominated its new president and CEO, Dave McCurdy to serve as chairman, National Organizing Committee for the World Gas Conference in Washington, DC in 2018. The Conference would be held on the occasion of AGA’s 100th anniversary. AGA senior advisor, Jay Copan, has been asked to manage the bid process for this activity.
AGA has four key messages regarding its bid:

- Washington, DC can bring together the world’s energy leaders to celebrate the 2018 World Gas Conference, to build on the 80 year tradition of IGU and to develop the global gas industry legacy and vision for the future.
