Mr. Borgard was elected alongside several other officers during AGA’s Executive Conference in San Diego, CA.

“Larry brings over two decades of industry experience to his new role as chairman of AGA’s board of directors, and his extensive background in engineering and business will be invaluable to AGA in 2012,” said Dave McCurdy, president and CEO of AGA. “Natural gas is poised to lead our country’s energy decisions and Larry embraces this unique opportunity for our industry, recognizing the benefits that reliable energy and stable prices bring to our customers.”

Integrys, based in Chicago, IL, is a regional leader with nearly 5,000 employees across the Midwest and beyond. Integrys represents seven regulated and non-regulated subsidiaries as they come together as one company with a shared commitment to providing customers with the best value in energy and related services.

Mr. Borgard serves as chief executive officer of each of Integrys' six electric and natural gas utilities. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the utilities, which operate across four midwestern states and serve 1.6 million natural gas customers and 500,000 electric customers.

Larry has spent 26 years in the energy industry. He began his career at Wisconsin Public Service in 1984 as an associate engineer. He subsequently held positions in, and managed, areas including field operations, regulatory compliance, transmission and planning. More recently, he has held a number of executive-level positions within multiple Integrys subsidiaries.
Mr. Borgard also serves on the board of directors of the Midwest Energy Association, the Metropolitan Planning Council in Chicago, Bellin Health, the Green Bay Area Chamber of Commerce and Better by the Bay. The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 71 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 94 percent — over 68 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets almost one-fourth of the United States' energy needs.
