 American Gas Association Overview

The American Gas Association (AGA), founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local natural gas utilities that are committed to the safe and reliable delivery of clean natural gas to 177 million Americans nationwide. An essential pillar of our economy, the natural gas industry employs people in all 50 states and supports nearly three million jobs. Today, natural gas meets almost one-fourth of the United State’s energy needs. With an abundant domestic supply, natural gas is poised to help achieve many of the nation’s economic, security and environmental goals for years to come.
