ORLANDO – Builders seeking to provide home buyers with the latest in natural gas and propane fueled appliances won’t want to miss the American Gas Industry Showroom (#W-1983) at the International Builders’ Show, February 13-16, 2008 at the Orange County Convention Center. This year’s booth features the latest energy efficient appliances for home owners who are looking for ways to save money and protect the environment.
Due to more energy efficient appliances, households using natural gas today consume less and produce fewer greenhouse gas emissions, despite a 70 percent increase in customers since the 1970’s. Today’s furnaces are more than 95 percent efficient, while 30 years ago many models were less than 65 percent efficient. Similarly, industrial water heaters used at that time were only 30 percent efficient; while today’s water heater’s efficiency exceeds 99 percent.
Natural gas provides one fourth of all the energy consumed in the U.S. and heats more homes and businesses than all other sources combined. Natural gas is clean and efficient, producing 45 percent less CO2 than coal and 30 percent less than fuel oil.
See the attached brochure for more information on the products and appliances being displayed. Members of the media planning to attend this year’s show should contact Jessica Emond at 202-302-6544 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an interview or stop by the American Gas Industry Showroom. We hope to see you there!
