Washington, D.C. – This month, American Gas Magazine subscribers will receive copies of the newly redesigned February issue. The natural gas industry has long been at the forefront of innovation, and the updates to the trade publication of the American Gas Association (AGA) will help reflect the growing role natural gas utilities are playing in the conversation about the future of energy.
New magazine content will include coverage of the business of gas: how everything from commodity markets to regulations affects the bottom line. Also included will be updates about AGA’s advocacy efforts on behalf of its members and profiles of emerging voices within the natural gas industry.
“We are always working to meet the needs of our members and help inform policy makers and the public about the facts and critical issues being addressed within the natural gas industry,” said Dave McCurdy, president and CEO, AGA. “Updates to the design and content of our magazine will help us continue to address these needs and help inform key audiences of challenges, opportunities and important issues of the day.”
The February issue of American Gas includes a profile Philip B. Jones, President of the National Association of Regulatory Commissioners (NARUC) and a Commissioner with Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission.
McCurdy added: “America’s natural gas utilities are proud of our work with regulators at the national and local levels to increase safe and reliable access to the benefits of natural gas. Commissioner Jones brings an incredible array of experiences to his role leading NARUC, including work in Europe and Asia, and has even spent time working on Capitol Hill. He is an ideal voice for NARUC in this global conversation about how we best use our natural resources to enhance our economy and improve our environment.”
