 AGA Announces Four Leadership Appointments   


Washington, D.C. – The American Gas Association (AGA) today announced appointments of four of its staff to leadership positions. The appointments are part of an effort to help ensure that AGA is best positioned to continue to successfully serve its membership.
“In addition to the strong leadership from our members and Board of Directors, AGA is fortunate to have an extremely talented staff helping to achieve our goals,” said AGA President and CEO Dave McCurdy. “These four individuals have deep industry knowledge and area expertise that will allow us to continue to serve our membership and advance the great potential for natural gas in our nation’s energy future.”

The AGA staff appointments include:

Kathryn Clay has been appointed as Vice President, Policy Strategy. Since joining AGA in 2011, Kathryn has managed the joint AGA-ANGA Drive Natural Gas Initiative and AGA’s policy and regulatory efforts around natural gas vehicles, in addition to serving as Executive Director of the American Gas Foundation. In her new role, Kathryn will lead AGA’s policy strategy development.

Andrew Soto has been appointed as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs. In his seven years with AGA, Andrew has represented AGA’s members before a host of federal agencies regarding a broad range of policy issues. In his new role, Andrew will lead the Regulatory Affairs team.

Jennifer O’Shea has been appointed as Vice President, Communications. Jen has led AGA’s communications and marketing efforts for nearly four years, helping to raise AGA’s voice with its key audiences.  Jen will continue leading her team on initiatives to raise AGA’s visibility on issues of importance to America’s natural gas utilities.

Linda Nahin has been appointed as Vice President, Human Resources. Linda has managed the Human Resources department at AGA for five years, and will continue to provide leadership in ensuring that AGA has a professional and competent team in place to meet its goals and objectives.

The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 71 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 94 percent — over 68 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets almost one-fourth of the United States' energy needs.
