On September 3, 2009 AGA alerted members that Judge Dana M. Sabraw of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California held that the federal government used the wrong methods to collect and test pipe wrap samples. This ruling rendered all 27 samples inadmissible in evidence in the retrial of a criminal case against AGA member San Diego Gas & Electric, an SDGE employee and a contractor.
