The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents 195 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 70 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 91 percent — more than 64 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. AGA is an advocate for natural gas utility companies and their customers and provides a broad range of programs and services for member natural gas pipelines, marketers, gatherers, international natural gas companies and industry associates. Today, natural gas meets almost one-fourth of the United States' energy needs.

Energy Analyst
The American Gas Association, a national trade association that advocates the interests of its natural gas utility members, is in search of an Energy Analyst. The person filling this position will serve as primary economic analyst for the association. This individual will be responsible for preparing economic analyses focused on energy and the economy. S/he will develop and oversee short- and long-term modeling activities; develop and maintain relationships with relevant industry, legislative, regulatory and academic contacts; and make presentations to key audiences on critical economic and energy issues. Additionally, the selected candidate will provide analytical support for media outreach activities.
Candidates must be proficient in the collection, interpretation and dissemination of economic data and have a good understanding of energy markets (focus on natural gas desired). Strong project management, modeling and computer skills are required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment is essential.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in economics, finance or related field and at least three years working experience in energy-related activities.
