AGA Voluntary Guideline for Handling Asphaltic or Coal Tar Enamel Wrapped Pipe (Dec. 2007)

The AGA Voluntary Guideline for Handling Asphaltic or Coal Tar Enamel Wrapped Pipe describes the work practices that a company may use when handling asbestos coal tar enamel pipe wrap or asphaltic enamel pipe wrap on gas pipe and other buried utilities.  This Voluntary Guideline is based on a benchmarking and roundtable project conducted by an American Gas Association (AGA).  It provides general guidelines to assist member companies in developing procedures for managing Pipe Wrap. The use of this guideline document is purely voluntary.
