AGA’s natural gas utility members deliver clean, abundant, affordable natural gas produced in Northern America to more than 64 million homes and businesses across the United States.  Because natural gas is highly efficient and emits considerably less carbon dioxide, sulfur, nitrogen or particulates when combusted  than other fossil fuels, natural gas results in a smaller environmental impact than other energy sources. AGA works with members and leading experts to evaluate how new federal environmental regulatory proposals could impact natural gas local distribution systems and customers.  We advocate for government rules and policies that protect the environment while allowing our natural gas utility members to continue to deliver clean, affordable natural gas to customers, safely and reliably.

These pages addresses key environmental issues that affect natural gas utilities and their customers such as Permit Streamlining, Pipeline & Utility Right of Way and Wild Life Habitat. If you would like more information regarding AGA's enviornmental work, please contact Pam Lacey, AGA's Environmental Senior Managing Counsel, Environment.
