On March 25, 2004 Senator Inhofe sent a letter to EPA Assistant Administrator of the Office of Solid Waste and Emergency Response, the Honorable Marianne Horinko, to express concerns about EPA's progress toward implementing the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure Plans Rule. Senator Inhofe commended EPA for granting an 18-month extension of the compliance deadline so that the Agency could continue to work with the affected industries in the regulated community. Senator Inhofe expresses disappointment that more progress was not made in addressing the numerous concerns raised by all of the stakeholders which range from the airport and railroad industries to the farmers and energy producers.
