On October 7, 2009 EPA's Permits, New Source Review, Toxics Subcommittee presented regarding the BACT guidance that was under development. The EPA workgroup detailed their focus on the BACT requirement and the processes in place to review technical, economic, and environmental performance characteristics of potential BACT options.
