Manager, Operations and Engineering Services

AGA is seeking a Manager, Operations & Engineering Services to join our Operations & Engineering Services Team.

The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 76 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 95 percent — more than 72 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets more than thirty percent of the United States' energy needs.

AGA’s Operations and Engineering Team works with industry stakeholders and AGA members to understand and implement operational practices which enhance safety, share learnings, identify new research and development opportunities, and provide input in developing pipeline safety regulations. AGA’s technical committees meet twice a year to understand and share new processes, practices, and challenges. AGA’s committees also develop technical papers to provide AGA’s members with guidance on managing operational activities.

A successful candidate has experience in natural gas industry operations, specifically in distribution or intrastate transmission, the ability to travel domestically (when public health conditions permit), experience organizing and conducting workshops, experience writing technical documents, and an eagerness to learn and grow.

Employees have rated AGA a Washington Post Top Workplace for seven consecutive years (2015-2021).

Applications should include a cover letter describing your interest in the position, a resume, and a list of three professional references. Interested candidates should also submit a writing sample with their application via this link.
