Peer Review Specialist - Part-time

The American Gas Association is seeking a part-time Peer Review Specialist to join our Operations & Engineering Services Team in a unique role supporting AGA’s Enhanced Peer Review Program.

As a member of AGA’s Operations and Engineering Team, the Specialist will be an integral part of the advancement of the Natural Gas industry through engagement with member companies around the United States in the in-person Enhanced Peer Review program.

A successful candidate has experience in natural gas industry operations, preferably gas distribution or intrastate transmission; efficiently create executive reports addressing technical topics; and an eagerness to grow and learn. AGA supports members across the country so the ability to travel (when public health conditions permit) is vital for this role.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, three professional references and a writing sample with their application.

This role is part-time and involves travelling to conduct 8-14 4-day Peer Reviews annually. Peer Reviews take place as frequently as every few weeks and as infrequently as every two months. This role allows for remote work from most states within the United States. The American Gas Association requires all staff to pass a background check and show proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.

The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 76 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 95 percent — more than 72 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets more than thirty percent of the United States' energy needs.
