Systems Administrator and User Support

 

Position Summary:

  • Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
  • Participate in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure
  • Assist project teams with technical issues in the initiation and planning phases. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research & development within the project; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
  • Responsible for support of staff desktop activities
  • Systems Administrator & User Support Position serves as primary point of contact for AGA user support requests

 

Knowledge and Capability Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team dynamics proficiency
  • Willing to work outside of normal schedule (es: evenings and weekends) as needed and some travel
  • Office application software (Microsoft Office), Adobe Creative Cloud application suite; SharePoint, Amazon Web Services; Wombat Security Education Platform
  • Client security (firewall, anti-virus software, etc.)
  • Client operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Linux, etc.)
  • Mobile devices (IOS Devices, Android, etc.)
  • Peripherals (printers, scanners, etc.)
  • Network operating systems (Windows Server, Linus, Hyper-V, VMWare, etc.)
  • Data communications (TCP/IP, routers, switches, firewalls, intrusion prevention/detection systems, VOIP, VPN's, etc.)
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Java Script

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Two or more years of relevant experience
