ANSI Public Reviews

GPTC - The Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) conducts periodic public reviews on revisions to the GPTC Z380.1-2015, Guide for Gas Transmission, Distribution, and Gathering Piping Systems. Comments should be emailed to Mike Bellman, Secretary, ASC GPTC Z380. Any questions you may have concerning public reviews please contact Mike as well.

DOE Furnace Rule Waiver

Final comments of the joint stakeholder group that were submitted to DOE on Monday for consideration in the development of an enforcement plan for regional efficiency standards for furnaces, air conditioners and heat-pumps.
Electrical Bonding of Gas Piping Systems

This American Gas Association fact sheet provides an overview of the requirements for the electrical bonding of fuel gas piping systems to the electrical grounding system based on ANSI Z223.1/NFPA 54, National Fuel Gas Code - 2015 (NFGC). The bonding requirements in previous code editions, in local jurisdictions or in specific situations, may differ.
EPA Proposes Inequitable ENERGY STAR Criteria for Residential Water Heaters (Apr 2014)

The U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued proposed revisions to its criteria for ENERGY STAR residential water heaters and is seeking public comments by April 30, 2014. This EPA proposal is being reviewed by the responsible AGA committees. As this is a federal activity, any comments submitted to EPA on the ENERGY STAR proposals are the responsibility of the AGA Sustainable Growth Committee with the technical support of the AGA Building Energy Codes and Standards (BECS) Committee.

AGA Positions on Proposed Changes to the International Fuel Gas Code (March 2015)

The International Code Council (ICC) Code hearings will begin on April 19 and are scheduled to end on April 28 at the Memphis Cook Convention Center, Memphis, TN. Note that the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) hearing begins after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 and will conclude on Monday April 20th if necessary.
