News Release January 23, 2020

Washington, D.C. – The American Gas Association (AGA) commends the leadership of Interstate Natural Gas Association of America (INGAA) President and CEO Don Santa and wishes him well on the announcement of his retirement.

“Don Santa has been a very effective leader for an instrumental segment of our nation’s energy backbone. He is the consummate colleague in every respect and I have valued his collaboration and friendship for more than a dozen years. The future for the industry is bright in no small part due to Don’s wise counsel and deep knowledge,” said AGA president and CEO Karen Harbert.

The American Gas Association, founded in 1918, represents more than 200 local energy companies that deliver clean natural gas throughout the United States. There are more than 76 million residential, commercial and industrial natural gas customers in the U.S., of which 95 percent — more than 72 million customers — receive their gas from AGA members. Today, natural gas meets more than thirty percent of the United States' energy needs.
