There are more than 42 million natural gas and propane household gas ranges, ovens, and cooktops in the U.S. These appliances have excellent safety records, and the natural gas utility industry continues to work to develop information and provide education for consumers, employees, and regulators about the safety of gas cooking appliances and ways to reduce cooking process emissions from impacting indoor air quality.
