AGA Filed Comments on EPA Review of Existing Regulations under EO 13777
On May 15, AGA filed comments in response to EPA’s request for stakeholder input on existing EPA regulations that may be appropriate for repeal, replacement, or modification. EPA’s action is intended to implement Executive Order 13777, “Enforcing the Regulatory Reform Agenda.” AGA’s comments suggest revising Subpart W to reduce unnecessary burdens and improve accuracy, eliminating throughput reporting under Subpart NN, and revising the Waters of the U.S. Rule. Additionally, AGA’s comments recommend revising the RCRA generator requirements for remote sites, simplifying the federal PCB regulations, and modifying the pending federal standards for the aboveground storage of hazardous substances to allow for performance-based controls.
