Natural Gas Industry Gathers to Promote Safety

New Orleans, LA – The industry’s premier gathering of natural gas utility and transmission company operators across North America and the world is occurring this week. The 2022 American Gas Association Operations Conference brings the natural gas industry together to share technical knowledge, ideas and practices to promote the safe, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of natural gas at a time when American natural gas is more essential to America and the world than ever before.

The conference includes events to recognize natural gas utility employees for their contributions to safe operations, natural gas companies that have achieved high levels of employee and vehicular safety. In addition, natural gas employees that showed bravery and compassion in the protection of human life will be presented with the prestigious Meritorious Service Award.  You can view a list of award recipients here.

The Operations Conference is AGA’s largest forum with more than 1,500 operations management leaders in attendance, including over 100 speakers and technical presentations that cover a variety of topics, such as gas measurement, operations advocacy, safety, environment, storage, engineering, construction and maintenance, gas control, supplemental gas, corrosion control and plastic materials.
