AGA Files Comments on DOE Home Efficiency Rebate & Electrification Program
In comments filed on March 3, 2023, AGA encouraged DOE to consider a fuller range of technologies which complement the intentions of the Home Efficiency and Electrification Rebate Program. Rather than simply encouraging the purchase of electric appliance, AGA recommends the program consider energy efficiency improvements. AGA fears that failure to account for energy source, energy savings, monthly utility costs, and emissions impacts, when determining rebate criteria, risks increasing both costs and emissions.
