AGA Nov. 2018 Comments Strongly Support EPA’s Draft ICR Renewal for Voluntary Natural Gas STAR Program
AGA filed comments in November 2018 strongly supporting EPA’s draft information collection request (ICR) renewal to allow continued operation of the voluntary Natural Gas STAR program. Natural Gas STAR provides our member gas utilities as well as interstate pipelines and producers with a credible, fact-based platform to demonstrate individual company progress toward reducing methane emissions from natural gas operations. This helps demonstrate the sustainability of the natural gas value chain. After considering comments on the draft, EPA plans to submit a final ICR renewal request in winter 2019 to the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for approval under the Paperwork Reduction Action. At that point, there will be another opportunity to submit comments to both EPA and OMB.
