AGA Comments to DOE’s Proposed Energy Conservation Program
On April 17, 2023, AGA filed comments in opposition to the Department of Energy’s proposed revised energy conservation standards for consumer conventional cooking products. Energy Conservation Program: Energy Conservation Standards for Consumer Conventional Cooking Products, EERE-2014-BT-STD-0005, RIN 1904–AD15, 88 Fed. Reg. 6,818 (Feb. 1, 2023). AGA supports energy efficiency and conservation efforts, including the efficient use of natural gas in homes and businesses. The Department of Energy’s proposal, however, would remove a large portion of natural gas cooking products from the market and negatively impact consumers.
